About SOS Informatique
We have been repairing Macs in Lyon since 1998. Not as a sideline: it is the heart of what we do, and that is why this site exists on its own.
Two principles guide the way we work: kindness and empathy. A broken Mac is rarely just a machine - it holds photographs, a dissertation, a set of accounts, work in progress. We know that, and we always start by listening before we take anything apart.
Our aim is to make every repair as simple and as reassuring as possible: you know what will be done, what it will cost and how long it will take. For over 28 years we have built relationships with our customers that go well beyond the technical work itself.
Who we are
SOS Informatique is Vincent Bessey, a sole trader based in Lyon's 5th district. One single contact, from the first call to handing your Mac back: the person who answers the phone is the person who will do the work.
What we do
Mac repair and maintenance: MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac mini. Screen, battery, keyboard, charging connector, SSD replacement, memory upgrades, macOS that will not start, slowdowns, migration to a new machine, data recovery.
We come to your home or your premises, or work remotely when the internet connection still holds. For hardware faults we have workshops across the region to keep waiting times short.
How we charge
An all-inclusive flat rate, travel included, however long it takes. No meter running while you watch a progress bar: if your fault takes longer than expected, that is our problem. You know the price before we start.
What we work on
The whole Apple ecosystem, from a 2012 MacBook that is still perfectly usable to the very latest Mac, along with everything around it: iPhones and iPads to sync, printers, Time Machine backups, NAS drives, networks and wifi.
We also work on PCs and Windows - the same customers often have both. That is what our other site is for: zone-help.com.
Our customers
Private customers for whom the Mac is an everyday tool, and professionals whose work cannot stop: architecture practices, graphic designers, photographers, studios, self-employed professionals, small and medium businesses around Lyon. Very different needs, which we answer case by case rather than with a standard package.

Providing managed IT services means taking on real responsibility for a client company's information system. Computer repair and maintenance is a profession whose risks are broadly proportional to the level of service offered.
Although it is not compulsory, we have chosen to carry professional cover, for everyone's peace of mind.
